Large N and the Dine-Rajaraman problem
نویسندگان
چکیده
We compute the effective action for scattering of three well-separated extremal brane solutions, in 11d supergravity, with zero p− transfer and small transverse velocities. Using an interpretation of the conjecture of Maldacena, following Hyun, this can be viewed as the large N limit of the Matrix theory description of three supergraviton scattering at leading order. The result is consistent with the perturbative supergravity calculation. ADP-98-200/M15 hep-th/9806136 June 1998 1 Supported by the NSF under Grant No. PHY-9219345.

Multigraviton Scattering in the Matrix Model
We consider scattering processes in the matrix model with three incoming and three outgoing gravitons. We find a discrepancy between the amplitude calculated from the matrix model and the supergravity prediction. Possible sources for this discrepancy are discussed. متن کاملHybridized Affleck-Dine baryogenesis
We propose a novel scenario for Affleck-Dine baryogenesis in the braneworld, considering the hybrid potential for the Affleck-Dine field. Destabilization of the flat direction is not due to the Hubble parameter, but is induced by a trigger field. The moduli for the brane distance plays the role of the trigger field. Q-balls are unstable in models with large extra dimensions.
متن کاملOn the two - loop four - derivative quantum corrections in 4 D N = 2 superconformal field theories
In N = 2, 4 superconformal field theories in four space-time dimensions, the quantum corrections with four derivatives are believed to be severely constrained by non-renormalization theorems. The strongest of these is the conjecture formulated by Dine and Seiberg in hep-th/9705057 that such terms are generated only at one loop. In this note, using the background field formulation in N = 1 super...
متن کاملAffleck-Dine baryogenesis in large extra dimensions
Baryogenesis in models in which the fundamental scale is as low as 1 TeV in the context of large extra dimensions is a challenging problem. The requirement for the departure from thermal equilibrium necessarily ties any low-scale baryogenesis with that of a successful inflationary model, which automatically provides the out-of-equilibrium condition after the end of inflation. However, it is als...
متن کاملQ-Balls and Baryogenesis in the MSSM
We show that Q-balls naturally exist in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with soft SUSY breaking terms of the minimal N=1 SUGRA type. These are associated with the Fand D-flat directions of the scalar potential once radiative corrections are taken into account. We consider two distinct cases, corresponding to the ”HuL” (slepton) direction with L-balls and the ”ucdcdc” and ”ucucd...
